Stainburn pupils turn podcast journalists on nuclear issue

Students at Workington’s Stainburn School will make four-minute radio podcast news reports about the consultation for an underground radioactive waste repository in West Cumbria.

The 15 students, from the school’s after school club, will meet every Monday evening to produce the report about the Managing Radioactive Waste Safely Partnership’s consultation into whether the area is a suitable site. It is part of a competition run by Osprey Communications, which handles public relations for the partnership.
