We are hosting a group of school children and teachers from Taiwan in July and are looking for host families for 3 nights – Tuesday 10th, Wednesday 11th and Thursday 12th July. Please contact Miss Phillips at school if you can help out. -
Success in Chemistry Competition
Stainburn pupils took their Science too new heights when competing in the Royal Society of Chemistry, “Top of the Bench” competition. Stainburn Radio podcast comes runner-up in competition
The Managing Radioactive Waste Safely Partnership (MRWS) held a competition for young people to produce a balanced news report about a possible nuclear waste repository in West Cumbria. Stainburn Radio entered a 4 minute podcast featuring interviews with local MP Tony Cunningham and local Councillor Michael Heaslip. The torch relay will be celebrated by schools and community groups who are planning to give six torchbearers a rousing welcome. -
