At Stainburn we work hard to ensure that all pupils achieve their full potential. Our staff identify those pupils who are gifted or have a talent in their subject area, and extension materials are available for these pupils in lessons.

In addition, we run an after school G & T club, with a large variety of enrichment activities, from astronomy to cookery, from code-breaking to kitchen chemistry.

The school also runs special activity days, like theY6/Y7 G&T day for our feeder schools, takes part in team and individual Maths Challenges, geography excursions and inter-school competitions. Pupils have also taken up opportunities to attend summer schools at Lancaster University.
