In July 2010, Stainburn was awarded the prestige Full International Schools Award by the British Council. This recognises all of the work done both in the school curriculum and on out of school projects including our exchange with Selm Gymnasium and the joint concerts our pupils take part in with children from Germany and Holland, study visits to Paris and Berlin, Rights Respecting Schools, lessons including Global Citizenship, Cultural, Language, Religious and Bio Diversity and the Connecting Classrooms Cumbria project which includes pupils travelling to Taiwan to work in schools with other young people from across Cumbria and from Taiwan.
